The #TShirtTest With Yes To Cotton

If you love your natural products, you’re in for a treat with this one guys. The Yes To Cotton range is 95% natural, cruelty free (you’ll spot that bunny on all the packaging!)… and it’s VEGAN! Uh huh, vegans you are welcome!

I’ve taken part in the “T Shirt Test” with Yes To, in which I trialled the effectiveness of their range: Yes To Cotton. The Cotton range is all about protecting and softening skin, whilst minimising irritation. It’s the perfect range for sensitive skin, and contains cotton extract and cottonseed oil (double the cotton!) to remove makeup, dirt, and build up, whilst nourishing and refreshing the skin.

Yes To challenged me to remove a full face of makeup with their Yes To Cotton range, and then see how much makeup residue transfers onto the white cotton shirt I’m wearing! Isn’t it the worst when you think you’ve gotten rid of all traces of makeup only to see that you’ve got a ring of foundation on your collar and blurry panda eye smudges, uhh!

Yes To Cotton Comforting Facial Wipes

I started out by removing this full face of Halloween makeup with the Yes To Cotton Comforting Facial Wipes. I chose to try this T Shirt Test out with this makeup as I have a full coverage makeup base on top of budge proof powders that I know and love – This is definitely as full coverage and “full face” as I go!

The Cotton Comforting Facial Wipes are, in-part, made from recycled cotton t-shirts (omg) so you know that you’re doing your part to save energy and reduce waste by opting for these wipes. That’s a weight off my shoulders! I am very conscious about how much beauty waste I produce, so knowing that these contain part recycled cotton is an amazing feeling.

I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell the difference with the texture, if anything, I think these are softer. This is definitely the type of makeup that I usually need to “scrub” off my face, but the cloth texture of these wipes made it super gentle – plus, they smell amazing!

Yes To Cotton Comforting Micellar Cleansing Water

Step two features the Comforting Micellar Water which is a three-in-one formula. Top tip from me – if you can combine steps in your beauty routine, you’re much less likely to skip or forget one, leading to clearer more healthy skin!

This formula cleanses, tones and moisturises and all you need to do is pop a cotton pad on the ready to go pump and push down. Voila! The perfect amount of product is dispensed and you’re good to go. I absolutely love packaging like this because it really does make your life easier. I personally really don’t want to faff around with bottles and lids, so this is perfect for me.

The T Shirt Test

After doing the two-step cleanse with the wipes and Micellar water, I grabbed my tee and gave it a good rub against my face and… nothing! I did it over and over and even rubbed the collar on my cheek and jawline and there wasn’t even a little bit of makeup residue! Magic! I think both products worked really well to break down my thick makeup, and didn’t leave my skin with that “tight” uncomfortable feeling at all. My skin felt silky soft and completely makeup free.

My Clean Beauty Hack

Want a more flawless base application? I swear by using a cotton pad with the micellar water to wipe away any left over dirt, or even cleaning product residue, before applying my foundation. It leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean, but well moisturised – Ready for a flawless foundation base!

Yes To Cotton Comforting Single Use Mud Mask

I just had to finish off this little test with the Yes To Cotton Comforting Single-Use Mud Mask, as you guys all know that mud masks are so my thing. This mud mask dries super quickly so you need to be quite swift when applying it, and I decided to wash off within about 10/15 minutes giving me a good masking treatment. This mud mask is super thick and rich, which translates on the skin. I didn’t notice any differences initially, until I accidentally brushed against my cheek about 30 minutes after I used the mask and thought “Holy crap, that’s soft”. I think that this is also a great mask option for those with irritated skin as my redness had definitely calmed down, and my skin felt generally a bit more perky and happy!

You can pick up any of the Yes To Cotton products mentioned at your local Holland & Barrett, or on their website online!

You look so cute in your pictures ^^ I've been a fan of Yes To for quite a few years now starting with a lip balm I bought online. I haven't seen their cotton range yet but I can't wait to try it.

This sounds awesome! After not getting on with the products I've been using for a while, I've been wanting to mix up my skincare and makeup removal routine, and this sounds like a good way to go. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for these the next time I am out and about 🙂
