About a year ago you’d find me questioning my mum & her unique style, aka her shiny moon boots, and here I am now – rocking my own metallic moon boot chic. How did I come full circle? I realised that different is fucking awesome, and if these boots draw attention to me – good, they’re bloody lush. I feel like I’ve gone through a bit of a style revolution… or it could just be the fact that I’m back in my home town, LDN.
When I used to live in London, I was always outgoing with my fashion choices. Growing up in Camden Town meant that I praised individuality, and anything quirky totally rocked my style socks off. Coming back here as brought back some seriously nostalgic vibes, and my style mojo is defo on form. Watch out world, here me & my boots come.
Honestly, the Larna Pointed Toe Ankle Boots* are perfect for two kinds of people: 1) Those who love working style that oozes “effortless fashionista” vibes, really grabbing the attention of those walking by & 2) Those who need a style confidence boost, because these will give you all the confidence gal. I put on my outfit, stood in front of the mirror, & thought to myself ~ oh god, you seriously can’t pull this off, Hol…. ~ but I found that as soon as I was strutting around Camden in these pointed toe beauts, I felt 100%.
I threw on my trusty £5 bargain midi from Primark, and accessorised with my trusty ASOS Double Wrap Waist Belt to follow the silver metallic trend through to the top half of my outfit. To top it off, I turned to this absolutely purrrfect Missy Empire Maisie Bag* which might be a bit of a *cough* designer dupe *cough* and I freakin’ love it. It looks so much more expensive than it is, and has just the right amount of room inside to fit in your purse, lippie, sunnies, all the essentials basically – without bulking out the bag. I usually wouldn’t go for a pastel bag, but I’m so glad I did – this bad boy works with every sort of outfit and even dresses up a tucked in tee & jeans.
I really do think a pair of metallic booties will take me into AW17 this year (yes, I’m thinking ahead) with skinnies/leather trousers and oversized knits a plenty. I’m also taking a vow to rock the maxi dress and skirt into autumn, because it’s still definitely the weather for it around Sept/Oct time. They’re the perfect investment to add a little somethin’ somethin’ to an everyday outfit, or even spurce up your fave recycled looks or your go-to body hugging dress.
Are you investing in a pair of metallic booties for AW17?
