The Tili Beauty Box* is all about providing a one-off, non-subscription beauty box full of high end goodies, and I’m all about that. Sometimes you just don’t wanna subscribe, but you also don’t want to compromise on amazing products. If you know what I mean, the Tili box might be the purrrfect answer for your beauty needs. Have a peek at my last Tili box review here so see what the QVC branded beauty box is all about!
This is the 3rd edition* and all of the previous editions sold out uber fast, I couldn’t even get my hands on one of them because they went so quickly – bummer! What it does show is that the guys over at QVC clearly know what they’re doing in terms of a gr8 beauty box (for only £20!) that really does cater for a wide range of individuals.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
Doll 10 Lip Velvet in Couture-able 2mlFull Size – RRP £9.50
Yaaaas, a liquid lipstick? I am absolutely sold on this box already. The box comes with one of three surprise shades: Couture-able (peachy nude), Material Girl (classic pink) or Fashionista (cool mauve). I recieved the peachy nude shade and I must say that it swatches beeeautifully. The product has no scent, which I do think is quite strange for a liquid-to-matte lippy these days, and is of a thick, mousse-y consistency. I did swatch it on my hand just before writing this post, and I’ve added this sentence in to say that it still hasn’t dried down matte hmm…
Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner 15mlSample Size – Worth £1.10
I can’t believe this day has finally come, I’m going to finally get to try the cult skincare fave: Pixi Glow Tonic. I have honestly been quite a frugal (I like to call it “money savvy”) blogger by not forking out on this one simply because everyone bloody loves the stuff. I know gals that are on their second and third bottles and swear by it complete. Me? I just really hate jumping onboard skincare trends because: 1) Dasss essspensive and 2) If it doesn’t work out for my skin, I’m super down about it. The answer to that, a lil bottle of Pixi toner for me to test out. Thanks Tili, this is a perfect beauty box product
Elemis Gentle Foaming Facial Wash 30mlSample Size – Worth £5.60
I’ve tried Elemis skincare before and adored it (big up my mama for gifting me a set on xmas ’15), so yeah, I’m pretty psyched to try this bad boy. It’s a pretty generous size for a facial was as you only need a little bit to get it all foamed up. It claims to “respect skin’s natural oils” which sounds right up my street as an oily skin gal, as stripping away natural oil can mean that my skin creates much more to compensate.
Molton Brown Dewy Lily of the Valley & Star Anise Bath & Shower Gel 50mlSample Size – Worth £3.30
Not completely pumped for this product as I always end up throwing shower gel sample bottles away. I’ve got nothing against them but you do only get a maximum of 3 uses out of them (maybe) or like me you use them once, and then move onto something else. Nevertheless, the scent of this variety is stunning and Molton Brown are known for having great quality bath/body products.
Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil Skin Wash 50mlSample Size – Worth £1.45
Another small-ish shower gel sample, however I’m a little bit more pro on this one. I’ve actually been suffering with some seriously problematic skin issues all over my body, including ultra-sensitive irritated skin, everywhere. Honestly, it’s as bad as it sounds an almost anything can bring me up with a nasty rash these days. This was claims to soothe and condition the skin as it is an antiseptic and non-drying formula. TBH it could do my skin some good, instead of the highly perfumed body washes that I normally use. Plus, it has this claim on the bottle: “Pure and mild for everyday use, even with sensitive skin”. Could this be the answer to my irritated skin problems?
Essie Mint Candy Apple Nail Polish 12mlFull Size – RRP £7.99
Love Essie, love this colour, love this product, Tili! I always think that a nail polish either makes or breaks a box, but Tili have done it so right. I have a handful of Essie nail polishes in my collection and I think the formula is bomb. Oh, and the shade is to die for, it’s perfect for Spring and would make any beauty look pop.
This Works In Transit Camera Close Up 20mlSample Size – Worth £12.75
I did recieve this in another beauty box this month – the Glossybox March 2017 (weird, huh?) – so I’m not as excited about seeing it in this one. But if you haven’t tried it yet, this is a fab product to try out from a brand that I swear by.
Mally Shadow Stick Extra in Smokey Quartz 1.6gFull Size – RRP £19.50
Although this shade is a beautiful rose gold copper-y shade, I kindaaa wish I got the Moonstone variety which is a “creamy champagne”. That’s purely based on the fact that eyeshadow sticks are perfect for highlighting the browbone and inner corners with, and the Moonshade sounds fab to do that with. If you got Moonstone, I would highly suggest doing that! With Smokey Quartz, I’m definitely going to try it out with a bunch of matte shadows to create a sultry, smokey eye.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer in Coconut Breeze 40mlSample Size – Worth £10.00
I swear by this stuff, it is pure magic, and PK himself is a wizard. Even though, I thought I’d tried all of the varieties of the Elasticizer, I was most certainly wrong. Coconut Breeze is the variety included as a sample in the box, and I can’t believe that I haven’t heard of it before. Apparently it’s relatively new, and is just perfect for getting into SS17. It’s not a true coconut-y scent, however, and has more notes of fresh fruit and soft florals to mimic beach vibes *peace sign emoji*.
Decleor Aromessence Mandarine Oil Serum 5mlSample Size – Worth £17.70
TRUE STORY: I accidentally spilled this all over my laptop keyboard before writing this post and mopped it up with my arms. My thoughts before went something like this: “Eww another oil that I will never use because it’s so oily” My thoughts, after the spillage: “Omg this smells like heaven, drench me in it.” Honestly, this stuff smells absolutely amazing and it’s not very oily, as oils go. My skin soaked it up super fast, and soft and supple to the touch! Still, it doesn’t overcome the shock that set in when I realised that this small sample is worth almost £20 and I’d spilt most of it – such a klutz eh.
