So Spring is finally here, and what better way to celebrate the incoming abundance of pastels and florals in nature, and on the high street, than another pastel feature. I literally can’t get enough of them, it may aswell be because wearing colour is pretty hard when you have silver hair – but I really don’t mind that limitation as pastel shades bring a whole new lease of life to an outfit.
I was giddy with excitement when Chi Chi London asked if I would like to style this dreamboat dress from their New In collection – Oriental neckline? Floral detailing? This is a perfect piece of occasionwear to take pastels into SS16. Whilst the neckline says sophisticated and high end, the floral patterns keep it playful and feminine. Totally have to mention the open back feature, which flashes just enough skin for a lil’ sex appeal whilst keeping all your bits toasty since let’s be honest, the British weather isn’t kind this time of year.
I teamed my Rosey dress with a half up half down bun ‘do to keep with the Oriental theme, and I just had to team it up with my Public Desire lace-ups to add that much needed sassy edge to complete the outfit. Throw on a Kimono jacket and understated black clutch – and this is a SS16 winner.

Check out the awesome photography by Ben Blyth, he’s a wizard behind a camera – and these shots have some serious edge to them. He also resides in Cardiff, so if any Cardiff-based bloggers out there need a photographer for a shoot – Ben’s your guy.
