If you’ve been following my style posts on Instagram circa 2015, you’ll know that I’ve been head over heels for the bardot style for years now. Whether it’s a Christmas wedding outfit, or simply a LBD (Little Bardot Dress) to wear out on a night out – I’ve always been a fan of how this particular cut makes me look at feel.
The bardot neckline is perfect for girl with larger chests (like m’self) as it can tone down any natural cleavage that gals with bigger boobs have, which makes the neckline look really elegant. I have so much trouble wearing anything v-neck or plunge as my chest is very obvious. Although I do love to rock a good ol’ plunge when I’m feeling sassy, this doesn’t look or feel classy or elegant enough for a more mature event for me, personally.
I’m a firm believe in that there’s a bardot out there for everyone this season, as there are so many ways to wear a festive bardot. Cheeky clavicle *pop*? Yes, please. This neckline is all about baring a flirty shoulder, and leaving more to the imagination. Plus, you can most certainly get away with accessorising a little more than usual, as bardot neckline leaves plenty of exposed skin for layered or statement necklaces, and stunning drop earrings. The dresses I’ve chosen are all from Coast, their bardot occasion wear is exquisite, definitely worth looking into for this season!
THE DATE NIGHT BARDOT
This bardot is perfect for a date night look: sexy velvet, sparkly glitz, and of course that classic neckline. This one is also a little more on the shorter side, but if you’re on a date this season why not use it as an excuse to flash those beautiful pins of yours!
THE WORK PARTY BARDOT
The work party dress is one to wear with caution as you still want to still appear professional, yet party appropriate. This stunning sequin number is puuuurfect attire for any work event this Christmas, the bardot neckline says “play” yet the knee length says “corporate”. There’s nothing quite like rocking a sequin bodycon dress to make you feel ah-mazing too!
THE PRIM & PROPER WEDDING BARDOT
Oh my gosh, I am obsessed with this dress. A lace bardot dress is probably my favourite style, it’s so delicate and prim, and oozes those luxe-vibes. The emerald green colour is so unique, you’ll know that you’re the only gal rocking this beautiful green tone. Plus, the pleats will hide any food and drink tummy bumps that we all get over Christmas too!
What dress styles are you loving for the festive season?
