Dress – Chi Chi Petite Shelby Dress*
Summer is literally around the corner, and so is wedding season. I’ve found that girls are either a) obsessed with wedding season, b) it’s the bane of their lives every year. I personally love the challenge of finding something wedding-guest appropriate whilst keeping it feminine, yet stylish. No matter which category you’re into, I have the dress that will change the formal dress game forever.
I saw some serious fashion post potential when Chi Chi London asked if I would like to style this purrrfect asymmetric-hem dress from their New In collection. If you are heading to a wedding, wearing white is an obvious no-no, so this delicate mauvey grey base colour is just perfect, especially combined with the beautiful, pastel floral detailing. The entire shape of the dress emphasises a tiny waist, whilst the asymmetric a-line skirt not only skims your hips, but also adds that little bit of high-fashion flair. Did I mention that this lil cutie is also petite – halleluiah! It always feels amazing when pieces fit my tiny self properly.
For maximum impact, I teamed my elegant Shelby dress with crimped locks (hello, 90s child) and delicate plaits for a fairy-esque vibe. Can you tell that I’m really feeling the modern fairytale trend? Oh, and that’s not all – the babes at Public Desire brought out these amazing perspex heels, with lace up detailing – uh, shoe goals much? They definitely channel those modern cinderella vibes, and can be worn tied up or tied down dependant on your outfit feels – yaaas!
