Bringing your home from Winter to Spring can be quite daunting, especially when we’ve all been focusing on creating warm, cosy vibes for the last 6 months. Gone are all the deep tones of winter, berries & emeralds, and hello to vibrant greens and yellows to mimic the glow of Spring. It’s time to welcome in March… and pop away all of those fairy lights that have been up since Crimbo. It’s finally getting lighter earlier and darker later, and I’m all about making the brightness last in the home. So I’m working with Wayfair to show you all how adding in a statement floor lamp can make your home light & bright this Spring, easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Wayfair sent me over a lamp of my choice (it was a really difficult one, trust me) but I opted for the Endon Tripod 144cm Tripod Floor Lamp* to bring ~ even more ~ neutral tones into the room. Any excuse to reinforce all of those natural vibes, but the shape and colour really did tick all of my boxes. I went for the colour Ecru, if you were wondering, which matches my colour scheme perfectly. The chrome touches on the legs add a dash of metallic flair which gives the lamp a modern, stylish twist to!
I’ve actually always wanted a tripod lamp but never taken the plunge as I’ve always thought that they take up a lot of floor space due to the legs. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. The wide stance makes this a statement piece that friends can’t help but comment on, however the three legs, instead of the 1-leg traditional floor lamp, make for a lot of negative space which adds depth to the room. Oh, and the height is adjustable! So you can create the look that works best for your ceiling height, etc.
The Endon Tripod Floor Lamp doesn’t come with a lampshade, but you can easily find one that fits. It also means that you can shop around and really find a shade that suits your space. Because the lamp itself is quite large, you can definitely brave it out and get a large shade to make a serious lighting statement like I have. I did stick to neutral as it works best for my living space and makes the area look much lighter and bigger.
Another way to put more into your room without taking away from the overall size and space. I’ve added the minimal B&W “Watusis” print* (which is so bloomin’ cute) and the Seattle Picture Frame in Rustic Pine* which is perfect for popping on the floor as a resting print. I love popping prints on the floor around my home as it gives a bit of a lived in, natural placement look – and it works so well with my plants too!
To bring more spring feels into my living room I nabbed a bright cushion cover, the Calvin Cushion Cover*, which is a welcoming pop of yellow with abstract animal print of course. Nothing says “cosy” in Spring like bright, textured pillows, a fab throw, and a good book. This is certainly going to be my morning coffee and night time tea spot for sure.
How are you creating brightness in your home this Spring?
