If you’ve read my blog recently you’ll know there’s a current trend going on: FESTIVE. Yep, I’m all about the Beauty Advent Calendars for Christmas 2017, they combine everything I love about this season – lots & lots of beauty, and Christmas-sy-ness. If you love treating yo’self (who doesn’t?) then a beauty advent calendar is so up your street, and when it looks like this one ^^^ it really is a mini xmas gift to open everyday of December.
Obvz, I was over the bloomin’ moon when M&S invited me to their Beauty Advent Calendar launch – which was made even more *wow* when I found out I’d be building my very own Gingerbread house at Biscuiteers with a group of other fab beauty bloggers!
BUILDING A GINGERBREAD HOUSE WITH BISCUITEERS
Just fyi – this whole icing business is so much harder than it looks and kudos to the team at Biscuiteers for all the hard work they do making regular biscuits look like mini masterpieces! We had little M&S nibbles to snack on, and with plenty of prosecco following, we got to work on our gingerbread houses! I went for Holly decor, obviously, as it’s the only time of the year my name really becomes relevant – and I think it worked out really well. Everyone had such exciting, unique designs and I think we all did gr8 for first-timers.
THE GINGERBREAD HOUSE
I absolutely love the whole gingerbread theme, not only does my own lil gingerbread chateau look cute af, but the calendar tie into the theme really nicely. The whole higgledy-piggledy (for lack of another word) layered effect of the calendar boxes gives small-town christmassy vibes whilst the colours are err’thang festive, right?! Plus, the fact that this calendar gives you a little prezzie to open for the full 25 days of Christmas is beyond impressive.
WHAT’S IN THE BEAUTY ADVENT CALENDAR
Now for the good stuff, what’s inside this highly coveted advent calendar then, ey? This bad boy retails for a whopping £250, however it sells out online in record time every single year. Why is that? Because it has a full 25 days of lil gifts to unbox on the run up to Christmas, and it boasts products from high end brands like Rodial, Fiorgia, Gatineau, and Stila Cosmetics. It’s currently sold out online (yep, it happened that fast) however you can check the stock levels in your local M&S on the M&S website product page.
If you love a good surprise, then it’s best to look away now (as I’m going to list everything in the calendar) however if you’re splurging on the £250 it’s definitely worth taking a peek to see what’s inside your 2017 Christmas Advent Calendar!

In terms of skincare, you really can’t go wrong with Rodial’s Dragon’s Blood formula, it’s probably my fave EVER skincare formula and works wonders, plus it’s not greasy or oily on the skin at all!
