Before you ask, yes I’m missing the top half of all these lingerie sets. I actually never really buy complete sets of underwear, unless it’s for the obvious intimate reasons.
The majority of the time, I find that most attractive high-street lingerie sets are catered to smaller chests and more frequency feature non-wired bralet-style tops. These may work for some gals, but my 32E’s just won’t work with me on this – and I simply can’t wear them. Which is a serious shame, because they look so cute on smaller chested girls *cry*
I’m also just not that well put together, and I’m constantly in a rush – so for me, matching underwear sets just not a viable option in day-to-day life. I prefer to have a set of white, black, and nude bras to mix and match with a variety of bottom halfs, just to make my life that little bit less stressful. It means that I’m sort of matching, and sort of not – which is totally okay with me.
Usually I’m more of a thong kinda gal, but all of these cute little briefs really did catch my eye – and sometimes I do prefer comfort over aesthetics. With these pieces, I don’t have to compromise – they frame my body beautifully and I get to be super comfy all day. It’s definitely a win-win situation.
As if I needed an excuse to buy something in H&M during my recent shopping trip. It’s currently my favourite shop, and the new branch in Cardiff St Davids is so big that you can almost get lost in it. During their recent move, H&M brought their stunning, and affordable, lingerie selection into store- and there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes.
The first pair to catch my eye were the Hipster Low Waist Cheeky Briefs (£5.99/each) are in a gorgeous pink nude shade, and have a wrap-around bandage effect, ahem very Ky-Jen – think of all the thigh brows girlies! Next, the Lace back Low Waist Briefs (£6.99/each) were an absolute bargain at £2.00 in the underwear sale section, the black satin front and lace back say soft and sexy.
I didn’t even plan on buying anything during my window shopping sesh in New Look – but how could I not?! Their underwear sets are seriously ticking all my boxes and I needed to pick up a few pieces for myself – and as they’re so well priced, I can’t even feel guilty about it.
I picked up the Grey Lace Brazilian Briefs (£4.99/each) simply because they’re grey – and now I have silver hair, silver underwear makes a lot more of an impact. Plus, the gorgeous lace and brazilian fit makes a great bum-framer.
The Stone Contrast Trim Satin Brazilian Briefs (£4.99/each) seriously caught my eye, and the contrast is to thank for that. The combination of the mesh back, satin front, and black cross-detailing make for a very wearable, yet stylish, pair. Plus it would work as well with a nude top, as it would with a black top – dual-options err’body!
Okay, so maybe the Khaki Strappy Back Lace Brazilian Briefs (£5.99/each) were a pound more expensive, but that was excused because, uhhh khaki? This colour is still blowing up on Instagram, on the catwalk, and on the highstreet – and I am obsessed! It’s not the most wearable with other colours so if you have a colourful wardrobe, this is definitely opportunity to channel khaki in an alternative way. Again the strappy bandage-effect is edgy, whilst the lace gives a much needed ultra-feminine effect. These are definitely wearable, girls.
Have you got any go-to highstreet underwear brands?
