This month I’ve been so so so lucky to be in contact with the fab team at Seventeen makeup at Boots, who offered to send me a few bits & pieces from their stunning new collection to create a purrrfect Summer Glow. I’ve always been a fan of Seventeen as their a well within my dire student budget, without compromising on the quality, and range of products in their collection. So naturally, I had a few products in mind that would definitely nail that sun-kissed look.
I mentioned these bronzing rocks in my June Faves post as I simply couldn’t wait for this post to go live – oops, sorry! These have become my new go-to bronzer, I even dust these over the top of other bronzers for some gorgeous sun-kissed shimmer!
I would seriously recommend picking these up if you’re looking for a no-commitment drugstore bronzer that isn’t going to break the bank. You certainly won’t be sacrificing on quality with these rocks, as the pigmentation is very good, the shimmer isn’t chunky at all, and the bronzed effect lasts for the majority of the day – and all that for a fiver, huh?
SKIN WOW! CONCEALER in Fair* (£4.99)
Ever since I recieved this concealer, it’s been my everyday go-to concealer product. I always seem to reach for it, and there are plenty of reasons why. 1) The packaging is gorgeous (metallic, hell yeah?) 2) I love the applicator so much. The small fibres and clicker to push out the product makes concealer application both precise, and easy. 3) The product itself is a perfect medium coverage for everyday use, and adds a certain luminosity to the whole face.
Usually I have to use a different concealer on different areas of my face, eg one for under eyes, one for spots, one for highlighting. However, this magical formula works on all of those places, and blends in beautifully with a beauty blender or a brush. It doesn’t cake up, and sets all day with a powder. A* in my books, 17.
CHEEK STAMP in The Cheek Of It* (£4.99)
Ohhhh hell, I cannot explain how in love with this blush I am atm. The peachy pink shade is purrrfect for that summer ready pop of colour, and the gorgeous golden shimmer adds a little oomph to a natural makeup day. Oh, and it’s flattering on a wide variety of skintones too.
With only one stamp on each apple of the cheek, there’s just the right amount of product to blend in with a brush as this product is so pigmented. However, the one thing that has me hooked is the longevity of this cheek stamp – it lasts all day, baby.
LIP CRAYON in Superstar* (£4.99)
For me, the perfect summer everyday look is paired with a juicy nude lip – and this ticks all of my boxes. It has a very faint/weak nude pigment, which is just right for dulling down my very pigmented pink lips. The formula is smooth and moisturizing, and it leaves a very low maintenance shine without being sticky like a gloss. I’ve been throwing this in my bag for a little lip pick-me-up throughout the day.
MIRACLE MATTE LOOSE POWDER* (£5.49)
I would say that this powder does have a colour to it however, almost a generic beige “skin colour”. Which is my only problem with it. It’s a bloody fab loose powder to be fair. I heard about this products through other bloggers who swore by it over the very essspensive Laura Mercier version.
It may not be the most finely milled powder, but for oily gals like m’self it does a very good job at setting everything down and keeping everything looking ultra matte. Because of this, I’ve only been using it for the evening (when I like to wear a completely matte base) and on very warm days when my makeup is prone to melting off my lil face.
What would you pick up at the Seventeen counter for a fab summer glow?
