Whenever I write a wishlist post, one aspect that I always leave out are beauty electricals. Why? I have no idea, I absolutely drool over the new beauty electrical releases as I’m a real techy at heart. Tech plus beauty? My idea of heaven. So I thought I’d share my absolute must-have electrical picks for this summer, fingers crossed I’ll manage to fork out for a few of them in the next few months!
Panasonic IPL Hair Removal
Where the IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, which helps to remove unwanted body and facial hair from the comfort of your own home. I’m all for women having as much, or as little, body hair as you’re personally comfortable with – & I’m certainly a hair shaver. Shaving all the time comes with it’s own issues like dry skin, or the occasional ingrown hair. Being able to simply *zap* the airs where the unwanted hair occurs and see results from the first use would be just wonderful. This is definitely a product that you need to consistently use to get the results you want, but if it can reduce hair grown over time, I’m all for it.
The one thing that I both get ridiculously excited for and dread about summer is wearing open back shoes. God, they look so cute right? But they leave your feet exposed and prone to dryness! I’m really considering investing in one of these electronic pedicure machines as I do just get fed up of having hard skin on my feet. This one spins at 2000 rpm and promises to leave your foot skin smoother, whilst being abrasive enough to remove tough calluses which occur when walking in sandals etc.
I’ve wanted a ghd straightener since the secondary school over-straightened hair hype, but could never justify the £100+ price. Now that I’ve finally graduated (almost) I’m really considering the splurge. The stylers have a 2 year guarantee and are delivered free – consumer win right there! Whilst these beaut white stylers have the intelligent ghd tri-zone® technology to maintain a safer heat constantly and evenly applied, from root to tip. Let’s be honest, they’re just gawwwwgus.
Even though I have quite a few facial brushes, this one always catches my eye when I have a prowse online. The shape is so unique, and the design is compact which allows you to travel with it (a massive plus!) and is free standing to allow for efficient drying. It features 2 speed settings for deep cleansing or cleansing of sensitive skin, and have a pre-programmed timer to make sure you don’t under/over cleanse the skin.
If the ad for this product hasn’t popped up on your youtube videos, are you even watching beauty vlogs? This has been the most common advert on youtube beauty vids, I swear. Anyway, it’s worked – I really want to try it. I don’t really have acne of any kind, but I do suffer from oily breakouts which can pop up randomly at any time, perfectly mild-moderate acne. This light therapy mask has been used by dermatologists, which is super reassuring. The mask uses the energy from the red and blue end of the visible light spectrum to treat mild to moderate acne – the blue light kills acne causing bacteria whilst the red light reduces inflammation. As a former STEM student, the science around this is fascinating!
