If you didn’t know that Benefit has just relaunched their original industrial strength Boi-ing concealer, then where have you been guuurl? Not only that, but the range includes 4 versions of the Boi-ing concealer, which means there will be definitely something for everyone (and something to cover every blemish) at Benefit.
Firstly, let’s talk about the packaging overhaul. It’s amaze, officially. Benefit always nail it when it comes to creating the most kawaii packaging on the market. Sugary sweet pink? Oh my lord, yes please Benefit! Not only is this packaging ridiculously instagrammable, but I can even appreciate the pretty font change and colour schemes for each type of concealer.
When it comes to formula it’s always a toughy picking a concealer, as there are many different aspects to consider when making the splurge. Skin type, blemish type, concealer consistency – it can be a mind fuck, and a minefield. But it should be easy, especially if you’re paying a decent buck on a high end product. Obvz, I’m going to share my first thoughts on the collection with you lot, and hopefully guide you in the right direction when choosing which new Boi-ing formula to pick up at your local Bene-counter!
Believe it or not, I’ve never tried the original boi-ing concealer. Even after looking at it many times in the hope that it will cover my ever darkening eye bags. The creamy formula dries down matte, and is perfect for hiding any very dark blemishes (like m’bags) and stays put all day.
This formula is similar to the O.G. variety yet feature a slight peachy undertone to counteract any sallowness on the face, around the eyes and any acne scarring or other imperfections.
The Airbrush concealer is a sheer-medium coverage formula which is perfect for those looking for a more understated concealer cover. Apparently (I haven’t tested this) but the formula lasts for 10 hours and is even… waterproof. Kinda wishing I got this before my beachy holiday because it would have been a great idea to test it against the waves! If you’re looking for a soft focus, blurring concealer, this is your best best.
A hydrating concealer isn’t always the first thing that I reach for, as I have very oily skin – however I love popping something more hydrating on my lids to prime as they do get so dry. This product promises to provide sheer coverage, with a lightweight feel, and is infused with vitamin E and apple seed extract to hydrate and smooth skin.
Which Benefit Boi-ing concealer would be perfect for you?
