6 Luxury Skincare Products You Should Splurge On

When it comes to splashing out big money on skincare products, I believe that everyone should be well informed about what the best products on the market are. From receiving PR samples, to purchasing myself, I’m always looking out for the best high end skincare on the market because the skin is biggest organ of the human body, and it needs to be taken care of. I’m only 23 but I’m a big advocate for the whole “prevention is better than the cure” when it comes to ageing skin, and signs of ageing like sagging skin, fine lines, dullness, etc. My skincare journey has already begun, and I want to use the best I possibly can to preserve it’s beauty and elasticity before it all starts going a bit downhill. My skin type is oily, blemish-prone, & congested so my recommendations may not work for someone who is dry/very dry – but I would certainty recommend looking at all of these brands when treating yourself to high end skincare.

Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar Water*

My go-to makeup remover is the Balance Me Flash Cleanse Micellar and I definitely won’t be going back to using anything else. This has totally changed my cleansing routine, as well as my skin. It’s ridiculously gentle and gets rid of all traces of makeup without rubbing or pulling on delicate facial skin. Pro – it also wont burn your eyes! I have super sensitive eyes, always have, and this doesn’t make them sting one lil bit. It’s on the expensive side for a makeup remover, but I see it as a skin investment.

Perricone MD Intensive Pore Minimiser*

If I’m going to be completely honest with you here, I’ve stopped using this product. Not because it’s not working for me, but because it’s so bloody expensive. If you have the dollar dollar to spend, I would 110% recommend picking this up if you have large pores. Unfortunately, I’m not in a position to spend on this kind of high end price tag, but if I did have the money I would be spending it on this product. You simply put some of this on  cotton pad, wipe across the face morning & night, and viola! Beautifully minimised pores. My skin hasn’t looked better than when I was using this product on the regular.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir Face Spray*

Mmmmm okay, I didn’t know I could love a toner as much as I love this one. Holy crap, it’s now cult-status in my eyes. When I first tried it I was a bit like “hmmm this seems like a gimick” but now I can’t go one day without spritzing on before applying moisturiser in the morning and evening. I pop this on as a moisturising toning step, by simply spritzing all over my face and leaving it to sink in. My skin feels really fresh, clean, and nourished after using this – aaaand I’m an oily gal too! Wouldn’t go without it. Oh, and you can get a smaller sample size* to try out the spray before committing to a big one!

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Matifying Fluid*

I’ve been religiously using this for about a month now, and all of my foundations go on seamlessly without getting oily until right at the end of the day. As a very oily skin gal, that’s a massive accomplishment. This is a mattifying moisturiser, so it’s a targeted treatment to prevent oil production and it really does work. The only part of my face that always gets oily, no matter what I use on my skin/makeup, is my nose & I have totally accepted that it’s just the way my skin is. But the issues with oil on my forehead, chin, and cheeks within a few hours of makeup wear has completely disappeared and I’m staying more matte for much longer.

Caudalie Instant Detox Mask*

This is my go-to as soon as any spots form under the skin. Honestly, if I wake up with some spots a brewin’, I’ll pop on this mask as I’m brushing my teeth in the morning and leave it on for about 10 mins. This mask if gentle enough to use on oily skin as a spot treatment on the daily, and as a full mask every few days. Drier skin be warned, maybe just once a week for you guys as it does dry out my spots. However, it does an amazing job at bringing any underlying spots to a head, drying them out, and reducing any redness or skin aggravation. Compared to my high street masks, this one just works more efficiently, has a more natural and simple formula, doesn’t give me any adverse skin effects, and is just a dream to use – A*.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Mask*

The whole Dragon’s Blood range from Rodial is by far the best smelling skincare range I’ve ever tried. It’s uplifting and fruity without being overpowering or irritating the skin and it’s a big plus imo. I’ve used this mask every other night for the last 3/4 months I think, and even though I’ve been sent other over night masks, I reach for this every single time. The consistency is more gel-like than a lotion, and it soaks into the skin within minutes without leaving you with a greasy bedtime face. The Hyaluronic aspect of the mask acts as a mild exfoliant which melts away dead skin cells in your sleep whilst pumping your skin and maintaining hydration levels.
