Birchbox October 2017 - Unboxing & Review

Is it okay that I'm really freakin' confused as to why none of the beauty box brands have done a vampy/halloween themed October box? *Sigh* I guess this two toned marble goodness from Birchbox will do. Joke, it's really bloody cute.

This month's Birchbox is an all round cutie, with it's main theme surrounding Breast Cancer Awareness, which means so much to so many people. I can't stress the importance of checking your breasts on the regular, it can be as simple as spending a few moments having a feel in the shower to check everything is normal for you. Everyone's breasts are different, but watch out for tell tale signs like changes in texture and lumps. Anyway, here's what's in this month's box....

ModelCo Contour Stick OR Megalash Mascara

Sample Size - RRP £8.00

This is the third time I've received this bright pink contour stick in a beauty box so I was pretty gutted that I didn't nab the Megalash mascara this time round. You, on the other hand, get to choose your preferred ModelCo item so wahey - go for whatever works best for you. I quite enjoyed the contour stick, however it did come up quite orange on my skintone. If you have pink undertones this might look better on you than it did on me.

Anatomicals Grab Your Melons Shower Gel

Birchbox Exclusive
Sample Size - RRP £1.50

Created with Coppafeel to form an exclusive-to-Birchbox formula, this watermelon scented foamy shower gel is perfect to use for a quick boob check in the shower (yes, you do have the time to cop'a'feel!). Ummmm, did I mention that this smells insane and Anatomicals should make it a purchasable item because I totally would buy this in a full size.

Ecotools Colour Perfecting Mini's

Full Size - RRP £6.70

I have like 3 packs of these stocked up from various beauty box, and they're so handy to have. The quality is waaaaay up there, and I love using them for concealer, cream contour, cream blush, cream highlight, and even baking my foundation (on my nose because I'm oily af). They wash really well, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who's looking for some mini sponges in their lives.

Balance Me Pure Skin Face Wash

Sample Size - Worth £5.12

Again I have the full size of this, so I'm going to give this away to someone who would want to try it. I do really enjoy this face wash but it's definitely better for those with less problematic skin, I don't think this is enough for my oily, blemish prone skin but I love using it on "good" skin weeks if you know what I mean.

Benefit POREfessional Pearl Primer

Exclusive Sneak Peak
Sample Size

Due to drop on the Birchbox shop on 26th December, this lil nugget of a product sample is Benefits' new twist on their original POREfessional primer (which is one of my favourite primers, ever). This version contains a boost of pearly pink pigment to make skin look more radiant and more "awake" - Can't wait to give this one a trial run.
