Life Update: Autumn & My Future Plans!

Spoiler - but Autumn is by far my favourite season. It's the season of Halloween, the changing of the leaves, crispy air, and the Pumpkin Spice Latte. Basically, it's a bloggers dream. Not only that, but I have so much going on in both my personal and blogging life this Autumn, and I can't wait to share the journey with you all! Here's what I'm looking forward to in Autumn 2017....

Autumn AW17 Style

Obvz, this would be top of the list - I adore autumn style. Dressing with the leaves, in burgundy, orange, rust, brown, and mustard is a thing. Plus, wearing light knits and berets is going to be amazing. I'm a big fan of layering, and the season of layering begins now!

I'm kicking things off by adding a check blazer, bright red knit, and mustard crop to my usual jeans and a slogan tee get up - however, the new season trends are everything. I'm definitely going to be investing in some more Vinyl, but for the transition, this white circle ring zip up number is patent perfection.

Plus, I'm stocking up on snake and zebra print (set to take over the leopard) for a fresh new season twist. These Ego Snake Mules are the perfect way to add some texture into an outfit - worn for a warmer summer-y day here, and chucked on with a tee tucked-into-jeans combo for a super casual but cool get up.

Moving Into A New Apartment

My boyf and I are finally getting a place together, omgaaaad. We've been discussing it for months now, and we've both come to the conclusion that we do indeed want to live a graduate life together. My boyfriend wants to pursue the Mechanical Engineering career route that we're both trained for, however I'm desperate to dip my feet in the PR/Social Media side of things as it's what I've become really quite passionate about.

Due to the whole change in career route, I do want to be located near to LDN - which would even help with attending blogging events, meeting up with other bloggers, and being closer to my family. Thank god, my boyfriend was over the moon with the idea and we're now both job hunting and house hunting near to the Greater London area - Watch this space!

Obvz, a new apartment means a whole interior design overhaul and I'm bloomin' excited for that to say the least. Think, nouveau naturel - Palms, wood, light airy textures and colours.... Honestly, I'm so bloody excited.

Getting my First Kitty Cat

Despite my blog name suggests, I've never actually owned a cat. I grew up in a household where my mum wasn't fond of cats, and my brother and sister were quite allergic to their fur causing them asthma and eczema issues. Now that I've moved out and getting a new graduate home, I'll have all the room and time to have my very own kitty, and I literally can't wait. I can already tell that I'll love it so darn much and it'll bring a lot of happiness into my life. Plus, my siblings have now grown out of their allergies so they can come and visit - yay!

Nabbing a PR/Social Media Job

I'm attempting to enter the world of PR / Social Media Content, etc, and I'm hope to hell that someone out there thinks a gal with a First Class Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering can hack it in the PR world. I really hope that my degree doesn't cause any issues for me when I'm applying to these (totally unrelated career paths), maybe it will be evidence that I'm a quick learner with a passion for anything I put my mind to? Who knows, but if you have any tips in terms of PR jobs etc, please do let me know!

Crisp Early Mornings

In my adulthood, I've turned into a massive advocate for the early start. I never used to be an early riser, with 9am lectures are uni almost killing me every morning. Nowadays, I'm bright out of bed by 8am on a day off to get shit done. I actually get a little antsy when I've accidentally had a lie in, there's so much of the day lost! I really can't wait til it gets a little cooler, to wake up to that fresh crisp air, and hold onto the first coffee of the day for a spot of warmth. I absolutely love that feeling, and this year I'm going to embrace every Autumn day.

Pumpkin Spiced Lattes

I know that PSL's get all the piss taking out of for being a "Generic White Girl Drink" but I absolutely love the taste of them, and I cannee wait to get one down m'gob. I wish they'd just sell them all year round, because the cinnamon-y pumkin-ness is right up my street and I honestly don't enjoy any other hot beverage better than this on. Yep, even the Christmas latte's and hot chocolates. For me, nothing beats the PSL on taste. Yes it is hyped, but I really don't care.

Seasonal Makeup Releases

Confession - I'm refreshing trendmood every hour because I'm obsessed with finally nabbing some seasonal releases this year. I've held back every year of my adult life due to not having enough money, and wanting to splurge on gifts instead. This year, I'm going to have my own little stash of cash to spend on a few makeup bits from the new collections. Fingers crossed I'll nab some Hourglass, MAC, Marc Jacobs, and Tom Ford - eeeek!

Halloween

Last, but not least, the best holiday in existence - Halloween. Personally, I've never been much of a Christmas or New Years gal, I've always looked forward to Halloween the most out of the AW holidays. Halloween ahs to real expectations, you don't have to worry about buying gifts, you don't even have to dress up, you can enjoy it exactly how you fucking want to. Some years I've stayed in for a movie night, others I've gone for a midnight cinema screening. This year? I'm 100% up for planning a ghost tour/walk in a haunted castle or something - I'll keep you guys updated but things are about to get really creepy.
