Cohorted April & May | Unboxing & Review

My Cohorted unboxing & review is back with a BANG - a double whammy is more than appropriate this month, as I've been concentrating real hard on getting the grades in my final uni exams during most of April & May. The Cohorted box is probably the most enjoyable box to unbox every month as I'm always assured that there's going to be something (or pretty much everything) that I will enjoy, and it's all from very high quality, high end brands - this box is definitely an investment. If you'd like to know a bit more about the Cohorted subscription (for £35.00/month) check out my other Cohorted posts here: Cohorted March 2017 // Cohorted November 2017.

APRIL COHORTED BOX

The April box has an insane £88.00 value box, which amazing considering the price of the box. There are 5 strong products, from strong high end brands - & I could not be happier with this box. The Laura Mercier lipstick is to die for, it's so beautiful, whilst the Laura Gellar goodies are perfect for switching up any daily makeup look. The shadow trip swatches beautifully, and whilst these shades are not for me, I'm going to have a little play around with this before passing it on to a friend.

Although I love Laura Geller as a brand, I'm not exactly over the moon to see the primer product in the box. I recieved a primer from the very same line a few months back... in a Tili Box. Bit of a repeat offender, and I genuinely wouldn't have minded if I liked the first one I tried. But it just didn't do much for me, and I think this one will have the same lack-lustre effect. I'm definitely going to pass this on to someone else though, as it's probably just me being particularly picky as I've heard so many people talkin' the good stuff about these primers.

Other than this, I'm overwhelmed with how much I love the April box - it's probably one of my absolutely favourite Cohorted boxes to date and I cannot wait to put all of these products to the test, folks!

MAY COHORTED BOX

The May Cohorted Black Edition Box is all about prepping for summer beauty, whilst leaving you glowing and photo ready. With a mix of skincare and makeup products, this box promises to have you smelling, feeling, and looking amazing.

My box value came to £91.99 however if you were lucky enough to recieve the NARS Monoi oil, you would be looking at a box at a ma-hoosive £125.99. Well, it's a bit of a touchy subject as it means that those paying the same amount for the box recieve different box values this month. Unluckily, I didn't recieve the Monoi oil (damn it!) but I did recieve the UD Lip Pencil.... Okay, I love UD, however it did mean that I only recieved a travel sample (as opposed to the full size alternatives) and my box was the least value combo.

As for the rest of the box, I wasn't too keen on spotting two body moisturisers in the box as I prefer to have a little more variety - but that might just be personal preference. Also, not quite sure where the RRP £15.00 for the Loewe Aura cream came from as the only place you can purchase it online (it seems) is from Direct Cosmetics for £5 here. On the other hand, the Betty Hula cream smells ah-mazing, like, I cannot wait to have a good exfoliate in the shower and and smother myself in this stuff for soft, beautifully scented skin.

The final two products are the ones that I am indeed excited about, the matte lippy and the mineral bronzer. I may be biased since these are products that I would naturally be drawn to when shopping, but both of these products are lovely additions to the box. Real Red does what it says on the tin, a punchy tropical red, whilst the mineral bronzer looks like it would be workable for most skin types - oh, and I adore the fact that it's a loose mineral powder.

Which are you favourite products in the past two months of Cohorted?
Do you prefer the April box or the May box?

*I was gifted this beauty box, however all thoughts and opinions are my own*

  1. Again, girl your photos kill it! You need to teach me some tips haha. It's odd they would give some people the NARS product and not others. With boxes like this I really think everyone subscribed and paying the same around should receive the same things each time, but overall it looks like a beautiful collection of goodies.

    1. Ahhh you are so kind girl, thank you! I know what you mean, that's my only gripe. But the value of the box either way is insane!
