Pink Parcel Box | Unboxing

That dreaded time of the month. If you're reading this right now, you might be due, you also might have just finished, or you might have balls - in which case it's highly unlikely that you have one, but why not read along and learn a little about the bane of every womans' life - her period.

I don't know about you, but I find it really easy to forget how uncomfortable a period is, until it arrives. From the agonising first day cramps, to the "omg can this be over yet" sigh of the third day. Oh & don't forget the "shit, I'm so not prepared..." moments - which happen quite frequently for me & my busy lifestyle. Unfortunately there is also no cure for that monthly explosion of hormones that arrive when you're on your reds, but I have found a darn good box that definitely helps with all of my time of the month issues - Pink Parcel*.

The concept is pretty genius, and pretty simple. You get the option to choose the type of products that you recieve: pads, tampons, or both & then tell Pink Parcel when you're due, and you'll recieve the box on the closest delivery date! Then every month you are guaranteed to recieve: tea, tampons, pads, something sweet, & beauty products!

THE PACKAGING

I really wasn't expecting the packaging to look so sleek, but it certainly is. The slimline, grey cardboard box with dainty baby pink lettering is so aesthetically pleasing. It really doesn't giveaway any ideas of the contents of the box, and that got me so excited to open it up and see what was hidden inside!

The inside of the box is divided into 4 handy sections, entitled: For you, For Now, For Night, & For Later. I was pretty surprised that each of these little sections can be removed separately, and discretely, if you wish to store them elsewhere - nifty, eh?

The For You section is a mini box full of lil things to perk you up during the time of the month, like lipstick and sweets. Which makes the box almost like a pre-planned treat for you, from you!

The For Now section, is a little black drawstring bag for carrying all of your fem-hygiene products around in a compact but stylish way. I can totally see the little bag working discretely in any of my handbags! I chose the mixed box, so my bag came with light pads and medium tampons for a bit of variety.

The For Night section is a box full of heavier pads to wear to bed, and the For Later section is a stash of both pads and tampons for you to keep close by, you could put the box in your bathroom cupboard & refill your drawstring bag as you go!

INSIDE THE BOX

Apart from the girly essentials, the box contains a variety of products to help you to feel good!

Teapigs Matcha Green Tea*
Jealous Sweets Grizzly Bears*
Emily Fruit Crisps in Crunch Apple*

The box* retails for only £10.50 (including P&P) - which I think is a complete bargain! After receiving the box without knowing the price, I was pretty shocked to find out that it cost around a tenner to recieve all of these goodies. Also, if you subscribe today you can get your first box for only £6.99 (including P&P)!

What do you think of the idea of a monthly period box?
