Unboxing & Review | Glossybox February 2016

Hello everyone!

My Glossybox Unboxing feature is back for the final time. Yes, I did unsubscribe as I found myself not using a lot of the products that I got - as the majority were skincare products! In the future, I'm going to be looking out for a great Beauty Box full of makeup to sign up to and get reviewing. But for now, my time with Glossybox is over!

The February Glossybox edition, it obviously gorgeous - hello, Valentine's theme! And the box is full of products to help you get ready for the big V-Day weekend, as well as promising that the box contains your perfect match, or your #beautysoulmate! These are big claims, so straight onto the product review.

When I first opened the box, I literally woahhh'd out loud - an actual Wilkinson Sword Hydro Silk Razor (£9.99). This is pretty insane, and is probably the most useful product that I've ever recieved in a Glossybox! This is actually the razor that I was already currently using, so it's always good to have two of a great product.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company's Floral Slanted Tweezers (£8.00) where the next thing to catch my eye, again full sized (duhhh) - yet I'm pretty sure that I own these exact tweezers, and may have lost them around my room at some point this year, oops. Even so, I own like 5 different sets of tweezers so I'm not sure if I'll need to use these any time soon.

The MUA Power Pout Glaze in Rapture (£3.50) was the main product in the box, in a sense that we actually got to choose the colour. Now, this may not seem like a big deal, but to actually choose a product colour in a beauty box is prettyyy insane. The colour was advertised as a sort of Ky-Jen brown nude, however swatched an awful orange tone (those of you that have me on Snapchat will know) - and was incredibly sticky. My make up wipe was just sticking to the formula and rubbing it around my on the back of hand, seriously. Still, I went ahead to apply it just for you guys, and instantly regretted that descision. A gooey, sticky, orange mess! This is honestly going in the bin.

I was very excited to receive an eyeliner in the box, however the Nicka K New York 24H Waterproof Eyeliner (£3.99) was in the colour Dark Brown. For us brown eyed gals, this is not good news and renders this product a little useless. On the other hand, it's my perfect brow colour and is ashy enough to use as a brow pencil. As for the 24H claim, a little more testing is needed - if it is true, this could be a new holy grail brow product for me.

Last but not least, the Naobay Protective Hair Mask Volume Conditioner (£10.64) is a massive fullsized product that claims to leave hair "soft, silky, and easy to manage" - I'm currently loving my haircare routine (blog post on it's way!) so I haven't even tried this out yet. I'll definitely be holding onto this product for a really bad hair day.

So this month, Glossybox have provided 5 full sized products, which is pretty impressive. Apart from the one product that I'm definitely staying clear of, I'm pretty impressed. This has really been a great final box -  but for now, farewell Glossybox!
