The Jewellery Edit | Jim Kersie

If you're an avid reader of The Kitty Luxe, or if you follow me on Instagram, or even if you know me in person - you'll probably know that I am a tiny bit obsessed with marble. I'm working on getting marble backgrounds for flatlays, I'm looking for a really great marble phone case, and if I see any marble homeware, it will be mine.

When Jim Kersie got in touch to offer me a piece from their vast collection of beautiful wrist candy - how could I resist the El Hefe - Howlite & Hemate Bracelet* RRP £81.00 (approx) which features 8mm Howlite gemstones and Hemate beads. Both of which, resemble marble. You might be thinking "waheyyy hol, that's a bit pricey" - I do agree that this is definitely a luxe item, however this is due to the gemstones, and materials used to create such a high quality piece of handcrafted jewellery.

Not only had I never witnessed a piece of jewellery featuring these materials, but I had never seen such a intricate skull design as featured on all of Jim Kersie's bracelets. Again, I am partial to a bit of gothic luxe, and this 100% fits the bill. The skull is just enough to add that unique edge, whilst the Howlite & Hemate contrast this with delicate white and grey tones. The skull on this design is made of Gunmetal - and yes, I did have to Google what that was. If you're curious: "a grey corrosion-resistant form of bronze containing zinc."

The piece is definitely monotone and minimalistic, the 2 best M's duh? Hence it has the potential to work with so many outfits. I've found that the piece works excellently as a classic statement next to a watch, or with lots of crystal rings to emphasise that gothic look.

If this style isn't tickling your fancy, Jim Kersie has a variety of bracelet styles and colours to suit everyone's preferences. There are even some with a bit of bling, in terms of 22kt Gold Plated Swarovski Crystal beads, and some just feature a variety of bead types and colours, for a more understated, yet classic, piece.

I was happily surprised when my little bracelet was delivered in a real leather bag and gift box, and this will definitely come in handy for storing the piece as well as making the bracelet a great gift option. The bracelets all come in a variety of sizes, and I would definitely say that they're unisex - my boyfriend is already eyeing mine up. Plus all of the bracelets are shipped from Melbourne, Australia, and that definitely adds something special.

Jim Kersie has two brand new collections, the El Hefe Rose Gold and El Hefe Sterling Silver - and you guys know how I feel about my signature jewellery colours, all the heart eyes!

Head over to the Jim Kersie website now to have a look at all of the collections that they have on offer.

How would you guys style this piece of gorgeous wrist candy?

  1. Hi, I love your posts, especially the photography. Just a suggestion, but could you write a post all about your blog photography, what lighting and camera you use and any tips and tricks? It would be really appreciated and helpful! Great post, by the way, I would love to get my hands on one of their bracelets :)
