Unboxing | House Of Wonderland

Just before Christmas, the lovely House of Wonderland (HOW) sent over a Jewellery Club Box* (£19.00) to try out. Unfortunately it didn't arrive before I left for my family home, so I had it as a little post-christmas present to unwrap when I finally got back to Cardiff - winning!

I hadn't heard of their brand before, but I was very intrigued by the idea of a monthly jewellery box which features a new theme each month. The December box was Alice in Wonderland themed, which coincidently is one of my favourite stories. Hence, I had high hopes for all kinds of weird and wacky designs in combination with cute, girly ideas.

The box that arrived at my door was beautifully presented, and had all the little details needed to make the experience special. The "Open Me" tag was such a creative idea, and definitely added that unique touch with a nod to the Alice In Wonderland theme. After unravelling all the goodies inside, I noticed that all of the items were surrounded by shiny red and text printed hearts - again a small detail that adds that something extra to the presentation of the box.

The first item that caught my eye was of course, sweets. Due to some annoyingly important New Year's commitments, sugar is currently a no-go. As they last a long time, I'll keep them on hand for a moment of weakness. They were beautifully packaged and ever so inviting, I really did feel like Alice.

A few of the wearable goodies in this box included a gorgeous frosted blue bow clip, and a pink "Wonderland" necklace. Both are of really good quality, and they've added colour and flair to my jewellery collection.

I found a wonderful little print inside, with the quote "If I had a world of my own everything would be nonsense" - and that is absolutely true. It also featured colourful Alice inspired illustrations that added so much character - so this one went straight up on the wall in my apartment! Included in the box was a gorgeous little wooden phone decoration, with an iconic image of Alice and the Dodo that gives a vintage vibe to the box. As I don't have anywhere to attach it on my phone, I'm going to use mine as a keyring - cute huh!?

The badges were amongst my favourite items included in this months' jewellery box, especially the "Hatters Gonna Hat" badge, it's so relevant (and did make me giggle a bit, not going to lie). I also have the perfect jersey tote bag that I'm going to pin these on ASAP.

My favourite items in the box were the "6 (im)possible things I will do today" notebook, which means when you actually complete that "To Do" list, you get to feel like superwoman - and the Alice down the rabbit hole bookmark, which was such an ingenious idea and gives any read that unique touch.

Of course there had to be an "Unbirthday" themed item, and this was in the form of a quirky, yet modern card design. I absolutely love the background text effect, and I can't wait for someone's birthday to come round so I can share the love. The last item in the box was the "Rockin Claws" nail decals - I haven't quite figured out how to get them to work yet, but it's such a creative idea.

I had a really lovely experience unboxing this one guys, and I was genuinely amazed by all of the detail that was covered throughout the whole box. A lot of thought and effort went into the design and ideas, and that shone through every product inside.

Here's a little hint for you: the January Jewellery Club box is Raining Cats & Dogs themed! And as you can tell from my blog name, I have a big of a passion for cats - I might just have to check it out. I have no doubt that the next box will be as thoughtful and detailed as the last.

So head on over to The Jewellery Club website if you're interested in ordering the January box!
